Here’s some easy growing tips for STRING OF BANANAS for beginners or for someone new to growing succulents:

PROPAGATION
- Even a small piece is enough to grow into long strings quickly and easily
- Place it vertically on soil and keep a small pebble at one end
- Check back after 2-3 weeks, it will start growing at one end
- Roots will be visible later, new growth comes first
- You can also place a string in water and keep near a window.
- It grows roots easily in a jar of water
- Move from water only when you can see substantial roots and growth
MAINTENANCE
- String of bananas can grow in full sunlight
- Water it once a week and do not grow in wet soil
- Drainage is very important to prevent rotting string of bananas
- Very long strings can be pinched and planted again for a fuller look
- Spray neem oil + hing once a month , in the evening, to keep string of bananas pest-free
WHERE TO GROW STRING OF BANANAS
- It is great as a companion filler plant in large ppts along with other foliage
- Plant it around the edges of large pots to beautify them
- String of bananas can be planted in hanging baskets
- It is great for very small pots (2″-4″) as it doesn’t require much space
