Tulips are one of the most sought-after flower bulbs and for a good reason! Living in North India where tulips do not grow abundantly, every year I am on the lookout for a good source of Tulip Bulbs – online & offline. The first time i grew them, my dad bought the bulbs from Jammu. Consequently, I have tried bulbs from various online sources, From Omaxe – they were good but the shops stopped stocking them and some years, there were no bulbs in the market at all! Hence, this is why I am thankful for Facebook since i discovered an excellent source this year!
For some eye-candy, here’s a link to KASHMIR TULIP FLOWER FESTIVAL, I’d attended a few years ago.
P.S. If you have planted bulbs and forgot what is where, here is a handy guide to IDENTIFYING LEAVES OF FLOWER BULBS, to help you identify the plants.
I will link their FB page below or you can search for Royal Treasure Flowers Kashmir
Here’s a mini review about my shopping experience with buying tulip bulbs online.
The packages came packed in excellent condition, taped & protected.
The inside was stuffed with newspaper to absorb moisture, which can rot the bulbs if they stay packed for too long.
The Tulip & other bulbs themselves came packed individually in punched plastic packets to let them breathe.
Price-list for Bulbs/piece: (2018)
TULIPS – Rs. 50
HYACINTHS – Rs. 65
DAFFODILS – Rs. 45
DUTCH IRIS – Rs. 45
SAFFRON – Rs. 40
I found the prices very reasonable & affordable for the quality & Service.
They can be contacted through Watsapp & payment can be done through bank transfer.
I Ordered Tulips, Iris, Hyacinth, Daffofil, Saffron & all of them arrived in excellent condition. Not one rotten or dried bulb. In-fact, I waited to write this post to see if the bulbs would sprout and yes, all of them did!
Delivery was quick & I was kept updated with the shipping. Plus, tracking option was provided. Thumbs-up from me to this retailer!
